A Brain Tumor Diagnosis Changes Everything

A brain tumor diagnosis instantly alters the course of a family’s life.

In a matter of moments, families are faced with overwhelming and deeply personal decisions — often without knowing whether surgery will bring recovery, permanent neurological damage, or the heartbreaking reality of an inoperable tumor.

Even after surgery, the journey is far from over. Many patients endure weeks — sometimes months — of intensive rehabilitation, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and physical therapy. The road forward requires strength, resilience, and unwavering support.

At Mischer Neuroscience Associates and TIRR Memorial Hermann, patients and families are surrounded by an integrated team of physicians, nurses, and therapists who work together with a shared purpose: to provide advanced, compassionate neurological care. Through clinical expertise and innovative technology, they help shine a light forward during one of life’s most uncertain seasons.

This is why The Bruce Underkoffler Neuroscience Brain Cancer Fund continues its vital mission.

Your support helps empower dedicated medical professionals to combine leading-edge treatment with genuine compassion — ensuring that every patient receives not only exceptional care, but also hope.

This is the care our family experienced at Memorial Hermann.
And this is the mission we are committed to advancing.
